Harrisburg, PA, Civil War Museum, Tröegs
In Harrisburg, I toured the impressive Pennsylvania State Capitol with its striking dome and grand architecture. The National Civil War Museum offered powerful insights, from battlefield innovations to the impact of Lincoln’s assassination. I ended the day at Tröegs Independent Brewing with perfect fries, a rich chocolate stout, and a lively atmosphere.


Santa Fe Downtown
Went to downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico and did a tour of the State Capitol Building. Visited the Lorreto Chapel with it’s amazing spiral staircase. Walked around Santa Fe visiting art galleries and taking photos. Dinner at The The Plaza Cafe.

Austin, Texas
Photographed the state capitol building in Austin, TX. Did the self guided tour of the capitol building inside.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana: Tale Of Two Capitols
Visited Baton Rouge and toured the old and new capitals. Had pizza downtown and walked around. Walked through the Spanish Neighborhood and took photos. Drove to New Orleans.

Little Rock, Arkansa
Visited the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock. Toured the Clinton Presidential Library a mile away. Walked the Clinton Memorial Bridge. Drove north to John F Kennedy Campground.

Jackson, Mississippi
Photographed the capitol building in Jackson Mississippi. Stopped at the Greyhound Bus Station, the site of the “Freedom Riders” arrest. Drove around Jackson to photograph old buildings. Drove south towards Biloxi, MS.
Tombigbee & Mississippi Capital
Left Columbia, MS and drove to Tombigbee National Forest for a morning hike. Drove to the state capital in Jackson, Mississippi. Photographed the capitol in the evening moon light.

Tallahasee, Florida
Drove to Tallahassee to photograph the capital building and grounds. Dinner at Andrew’s Downtown. Photographed the street lights at Duval and Park streets. Photographed the capital building at night.
