About the Journey
This blog follows my travels across North America (and beyond), shaped by a lifelong curiosity about people, places, history, and the natural world. I hike, bike, walk, and wander through cities, coastlines, and parks — discovering culture, stories, great food, and good friends along the way.
It all began with nine months of car camping in a Subaru Outback. That chapter inspired a bigger leap: converting a Ford Transit van into a rolling home and hitting the road full time — camera, bike, and trail shoes included.
The focus is simple: photograph, post, ride, hike, relax, and connect. I travel to experience landscapes, explore local food scenes, visit museums, and meet the people who make each place memorable.
There's also a dedicated section on the Van Build — updated weekly with what I’ve learned, what’s working (and what’s not), product recommendations, build tips, lessons from the road, and links to helpful tools and videos. If you're building or dreaming about vanlife, you’ll find plenty to explore.
Reach out if you have any questions, thoughts or suggestions.
