Day Off at KOA in New Hampshire
Pancakes along a river in NH.
A nice location in NH along the river and some thoughts on what I need in a campground for a year of car / tent camping. KOA seems to check all the boxes.
Burlington and Montpelier, VT
A scenic route to Burlington VT with a stopover in shelburne, VT for coffee. The afternoon was spent roaming around the center of Burlington and later the Vermont capitol, Montpelier.
Lake Placid
As it was raining all day in the Lake Placid area, I didn’t get to hike Indian Head. I spent the day touring Lake Placid and the surrounding waterways. Despite the wetness, I got to see a lot of the Olympic related sites and meet a fun couple at the campsite.
The Elusive Indian Head Trail
Day started with a drive into the mounts and breakfast with a view. I spent time hiking and getting lost. I found a great KOA campground near Lake Placid and relaxed.
Albany, NY
After leaving the Watkins Glen / Ithaca region, I took non-interstate roads to Albany. A much longer route, but I have a chance to see much more. I spent about four hours in the capital and then drove north towards, Lake Placid.
A Day at Taughannock Falls
I spent the day touring Taughannock Falls State Park and Ithaca.
Pulling Out
Setting off on the first leg of the adventure to my high school reunion in Central Pennsylvania.
Thank You Simsbury
I will miss my neighbors, friends, yoga and the wonderful outdoors in Simsbury.
Shoutout to Jen at AAA
I can’t thank Jen at AAA in Avon Connecticut enough for the amazing support and attention to detail that she provided towards this trip.
Kitchen to Crate
If you are on the move daily, you’ll want to setup your kitchen without straining or having trouble finding gear.
Ohiopyle, PA
Ohiopyle, is a small town in PA with an abundance of outdoor activities and close proximity to two Frank Lloyd Wright homes.
